Summary of the established calendar:
2021:
Single-use products such as coffee cups or hot drinks and their lids, spoons, straws, polystyrene containers, etc. will be prohibited.
In companies the bottles of drinks that are dispensed to their employees must be reusable.
A network of public drinking water sources will be created to reduce the consumption of plastic bottles.
2022:
They will be prohibited, among others, plastic tea bags, plastic containers in fruits and vegetables weighing less than 1.5 kg and plastic toys distributed free of charge in fast food restaurants.
The sale of magazines or newspapers wrapped in plastic bags will also be prohibited.
2023
Plastic bank credit cards will be prohibited, unless expressly requested by the customer
Fast food restaurants may not use single-use plastics to serve customers who consume products locally.
Supermarkets will be obliged to offer the option of selling in bulk to replace packaged products.
2025
100% recycling of plastic bottles.
2040
Mono use plastics prohibited.
